Zinnia Mixed Colours Seeds

Zinnias are one of the easiest flowers for beginners in Malaysia. They enjoy lowland heat, flower for weeks and attract butterflies to the garden.

1. Sow seeds 0.5 cm deep in pots, polybags or a sunny bed, or in a seedling tray to transplant later.
2. Keep the soil just moist until seedlings appear, usually within a week.
3. Thin or transplant to 20–30 cm apart so air can move between plants.
4. Pinch the growing tip once plants have 3–4 pairs of leaves for a bushier plant with more flowers.

Tip: water at the base in the morning and avoid wetting the leaves — in our humid weather this helps prevent powdery mildew. Cut faded flowers to keep new ones coming.
