Yellow African Marigold Seeds

Marigold (bunga tahi ayam) is one of the easiest flowers to grow from seed in lowland Malaysia, and a cheerful choice for beginners, balconies and vegetable gardeners who want colour and pollinators nearby.

1. Lay the long, thin seeds flat on moist mix and cover with about 0.5 cm of soil.
2. Keep warm and moist; seedlings usually appear within a week.
3. Move seedlings into their own pots once they have 2–3 pairs of true leaves.
4. Grow in full sun, water at the base and feed lightly.

Tip: pinch off faded flowers every few days — it is the simplest way to keep marigolds blooming for months.
